IULG TAKES IPM PEST MANAGEMENT 600CC MICRO-SPRINT FEATURE AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
Bridgeport, NJ (August 17, 2013) – On Gloucester County Night at Bridgeport Speedway, Tim Iulg took the checkered flag in the IPM Pest Management 600cc Micro-Sprint feature. Tyler Reinhardt topped the field in the 270cc Micro-Sprint main event. John Bockhorn collected the first place award in the Slingshot division with Todd Francis winning the 4-Cylinder Enduro Car race.

In the 20-lap feature for the IPM Pest Management 600cc Micro-Sprints, Tim Iulg led from start to finish and collected his first winged event of the season. Iulg, the winner of the July 26th wingless race, started on the pole and outdueled teammate Stephen Kemery for the lead as the race got underway. With nine circuits completed, Andrew Locuson, the tenth place starter, had motored into second place. Throughout the final half of the event, Iulg was chased by Andrew Loucson. Just as the top two runners were beginning to encounter lap traffic, the caution flag waved on lap 18 as Sam Lamothe’s ride stopped on the backstretch near the second corner. With a clean racetrack, Iulg held off Andrew Locuson on the final two circuits to gain the win. With Andrew Locuson taking second, Lee Nardelli finished in third. Sam Locuson was fourth and Jack Conover came from thirteenth to finish in fifth. The IPM Pest Management 600cc Micro-Sprints qualifying races were won by Lee Nardelli, Bill Thomas, and Sam Locuson.

Tyler Reinhardt was the beneficiary of Richie Keller’s bad luck as he triumphed for the second time this year in the 20-lap 270cc Micro-Sprint feature. Keller, who grabbed the lead at the start of the contest, had a half-straightaway lead over Reinhardt when his car suffered a mechanical issue with two circuits to go. Following the restart caused by Keller’s stopped car, Reinhardt staved off RJ Magyari in the closing laps to gain the win. Magyari, last week’s feature winner, finished in the runner-up position. John Blanda, Joe Dopke, and Joe Stewart rounded out the top five. RJ Magyari and Joe Dopke scored heat race wins in the 270cc Micro-Sprint division.

After winning the heat race in convincing fashion, John Bockhorn paced the field for the entire distance to win the 20-lap feature for the Slinghots. Dave McCullough nipped Donny Hockman for second place. The top five was completed by Bobby Dmuchowski and Dave Morrell.

In the exciting 20-lap race for the 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars, Todd Francis survived a lengthy battle with Warren Stradley and migrated through heavy lap traffic on the final circuit to gain his first career win at Bridgeport Speedway. With Stradley coming home in second, Dave Bentley was third with Cheri LaClaire finishing in fourth and John Webster taking fifth.
