Bridgeport Lands New Announcer
Finding a Saturday Night announcer was first on the 'to do list' this winter for the Bridgeport Team. Jeff Ahlum, who has announced at the speedway for more than a decade, informed the team last fall that he would not be announcing the 2014 Saturday Night programs. However, Ahlum will continue to call all the races for Bridgeport's Friday Night racing schedule as well as some 5/8 mile specials throughout this season.

The speedway is proud to announce that Mark Kielblock will be the new voice of Saturday Night racing in 2014. Kielblock is no stranger to auto racing, as he has plenty of experience behind the mic, keeping the crowd entertained throughout the evening. Kielblock was the announcer at the Middleford Speedway in Delaware in 2006 before traveling with the ARDC midgets. There, not only was Mark the series announcer from 2007 to 2009, he also handled the race reports, press releases, and served as the club's Media Relations Director. This makes him a true asset to the Bridgeport Team. The new announcer will also serve as the 2014 Track Chaplain at the speedway. "I'm very excited about this season at Bridgeport, and I look forward to getting to know the drivers and fans," relayed the new 'tower member'. Kielblock will be joined by seasoned-veteran and right hand man Bill Sasser. Sasser will once again be roaming the grandstands on race night, getting the crowd involved with many of the nightly activities.
