TOM HAGER 43-LAP MEMORIAL AND FIREWORKS HIGHLIGHT JULY 3 PROGRAM AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
Bridgeport, NJ (June 17, 2013) Ė On the night before July 4, an exciting mid-week racing card is set to be staged at Bridgeport Speedway. On Wednesday, July 3, the Tom Hager Memorial race, a 43-lap race for the Big Block Modifieds, highlights a program featuring three extra-distance races and fireworks. The Tom Hager Memorial, dedicated to the late Modified driver who passed away in June 2012, will serve as the third hand of the Poker Series for the mighty Modifieds. The victor of this race will go home with $4000 while the take the green money will be a cool $300. Bobby Varin took the opening hand of the Poker Series on March 30 and Jimmy Horton won the second event on May 26.

Two additional classes will be on the card with the resumption of their respective special series. A 30-lap contest for the Crate/Sportsman with $1000 going to the winner and $100 minimum going to the starters will serve as the third hand of their Poker Series. The third round of the Black Flagged Racing Outlaw Stock Car Shoot-Out Series will have a 20-lap race with plenty of extra incentives including lap money.

In addition, Avery Racing and Do It Duo For Pets, Inc. are teaming up to collect pet supplies for those affected by Hurricane Sandy and the Oklahoma Tornado. Donations will be collected at the main grandstand ticket office and in the pits at the Avery Racing Outlaw Stock Car team trailer. Pet food, Cat Litter, toys, bedding, gift cards and monetary donations are among the items being accepted. A Kidís Bike Raffle with all proceeds benefitting Do It For Duo will take place on this night.

On Wednesday, July 3, the pit area will open at 3:30 p.m. with grandstand gates unlocking at 4:30 p.m. The first qualifying event will get underway at 6:30 p.m. Adult (16 and older) admission will be $27 with students (10-15) being admitted for $12. Kids 9 and under are free. Admittance to the pits is $37. The first 100 kids through the turnstiles will receive goodie bags courtesy of Avery Racing.
