Bridgeport, NJ (September 21, 2013) – With a 90% chance of rain predicted to happen during the evening, Bridgeport Speedway cancelled the race program slated for Saturday, September 21 on the 5/8th mile oval. “From the radar, it seems inevitable that rain will occur during the evening,” stated track owner Brian Ramey.

The next event on the outer oval will take place on Saturday, September 28. Championship Night presented by Eastern AutoParts Warehouse will see double points awarded as the final point races for the Big Block Modified, Crate/Sportsman, and Outlaw Stock Cars take place. In addition, mechanic races are set to take place on the quarter mile dirt track. Pit gates unlock at 4:00 p.m. with the spectator ticket office opening at 5:00 p.m. Racing starts at 6:30 p.m. Fans (16 and older) are admitted for $15 with student (10-15) tickets priced at $10. Children 9 and under are free. Pit admission is $30 for Bridgeport members and $35 for non-members. Residents of Carneys Point, Clarksboro, Mickleton, Mt. Royal, Pedricktown, and Penns Grove gain free grandstand admission with proper identification.

With the cancellation, the remaining 21 laps from the May 11 feature and the third round of Black Flagged Racing’s Outlaw Stock Car Shoot-Out Series will be held on Bridgeport Speedway’s High Stakes at the Port event taking place on Saturday, October 5.
