Monday October 05, 2009 BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY RESCHEDULES RAINED OUT TRI-TRACK BIG BLOCK
MODIFIED RACE BRIDGEPORT, NJ (October 4, 2009) - After two attempts to run a BPG
Racing/Hooters Restaurant Tri-Track Big Block Modified Challenge
Series event were thwarted by wet weather on August 22nd and September
26th, Bridgeport Speedway has rescheduled the 30-lap event for Sunday,
November 22nd. The 2009 champion will be crowned in this final race of
the scheduled ten race series. With the open date, a large field of
entrants is expected to participate.
Three other divisions will have qualifying and feature events on the
fastest dirt track in the east. The 358 Sportsman will be in action in
a 20-lap feature event while the GM Sportsman and the Proformance Cuts
Outlaw Stocks will each compete in 15-lap main events.
On Sunday, November 22nd, the pit gates will unlock at 10:00 AM with
the spectator gates opening at 11:00 AM. Warm-ups will get started at
noon with the first race getting underway at 1:00 PM. Adult
grandstand admission is priced at $23.00 with no charge for kids 12
and under. Pit admission is $30 with a license and $40 without a
license. A raindate of November 29th has been set for this event.
Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere,
free parking, giveaways and fan participation games. Billed ‘The
Fastest Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked
5/8th mile dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the
center, and is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from
Pennsylvania and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
