Thursday October 22, 2009 TWIN TRACK ACTION AT BRIDGEPORT’S MICRO-SPRINT NATIONALS BRIDGEPORT, NJ (October 21, 2009) - The second last event of the 2009 season at Bridgeport Speedway is sure to have something for everyone as the Micro-Sprint Nationals slated for Sunday, November 1st will have action on both the quarter and five-eighths mile tracks.
On the quarter mile speedway, the 270cc and 600cc Micro-Sprints will each have 30-lap events paying $1000 to win with $50 to take the green. Also, lap money will be awarded in both of these divisions. For the 2009 edition of the Micro-Sprint Nationals, no time trials will occur and drivers will draw for their starting positions in the heat races.
On the big five-eighths mile raceway, the Bridgeport Limited Sprints will be joined by drivers from the Racesaver 305 Sprints. The combination of both of these Sprint Car groups put on a very entertaining show on Saturday, September 13th at Bridgeport Speedway. Also, the 4-Cylinder Stock Cars will take to the outer dirt oval. All gates will open at noon on Sunday, November 1st. Warm-ups start at 3:00 PM with racing action getting underway at 4:00 PM. Pit admission for the Micro-Sprint Nationals will be $30 and general grandstand admission will be $15 with no charge for kids 12 and under. Entry forms for the Micro-Sprint Nationals are available at the speedway and at www.localmicros.com. All competitors are reminded that one-way radios are required for all events at Bridgeport Speedway.
