BRIDGEPORT’S WINGATE CLASSIC IS THE NEXT LEG IN THE TRI-TRACK BIG BLOCK MODIFED SERIES
BRIDGEPORT, NJ (June 8, 2010) - After three events in April, the 2010
Tri-Track Big Block Modified Series will resume on Tuesday, June 22nd
with the George Wingate Classic at Bridgeport Speedway. Like the 2009
edition, this year’s Wingate Classic will feature twin 20-lap features
for the Big Block Modifieds. This will be the thirteenth annual race
that honors the late Bridgeport Speedway promoter.

Richie Pratt, Jr., Wade Hendrickson, Ryan Watt, Chad James and Matt
Harrell are among the Bridgeport Speedway stars ready to defend their
turf against an anticipated big field of outside contenders. Invaders
expected to be competing at the big and fast 5/8th mile oval include
Billy Pauch Sr., Rick Laubach, and Jimmy Horton.

After three events in this year’s Tri-Track Big Block Modified Series,
Rick Laubach is the current leader in the standings with 176 points.
Second place is currently held by Billy Pauch, Sr. with 162 points and
Wade Hendrickson sits in third with 148 points. Richie Pratt, Jr. and
Ryan Watt fill out the top five with 140 and 138 points respectively.
Also, a 358 Open Sportsman 20-lap race will be on the agenda.

The pit gates will open at 4:00 PM, grandstand gates open at 5:00 PM,
and the racing will commence at 7:30 PM. General Admission tickets are
$23 for adults. Kids 12 and under are admitted for free. Pit Admission
for this event will be $35. A rain date of Wednesday, June 23rd has
been scheduled for this program.

Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free
parking, giveaways and fan participation games. Billed ‘The Fastest
Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile
dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and
is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania
and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
