HENDRICKSON NABS HIS SEVENTH FEATURE OF THE YEAR AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
BRIDGEPORT, NJ (June 27, 2010) - On Scout Night at Bridgeport
Speedway, Wade Hendrickson won his seventh Big Block Modified feature
of the year. In the Crate Modified race, Neal Williams picked up the
victory. Jeremy Doerr took home the checkered flag in the Proformance
Cuts Outlaw Stock Car event and Matt Budd was the victor in the Rookie
race.

Matt Harrell took the Crouse Brothers’s Big Block Modified to the
front at the start of the 25-lap feature with Butch Tittle, Scott
Irwin and Jimmy Chester in the chase. As Harrell was setting the pace,
Chester motored up to second on lap 5 and Ryan Watt escalated himself
to third place on lap 6. A little further back, Wade Hendrickson was
charging from his eleventh starting position and reached the top five
on the eighth tour of the track. Back towards the front, Watt was
coming on strong as he swept by Chester two circuits later to gain
second. Harrell was just beginning to hit lap traffic when the first
caution of the event occurred on lap 11 as John Scarpati, Jr. began to
slow on the raceway. When green flag racing resumed, Watt launched
past Harrell for the lead with Hendrickson gaining second and Richie
Pratt, Jr. taking up third. The new top three were pulling away and
developing their own race when the caution lights came on for Rich
Acolia on lap 19. As the leader, Watt chose the outside pole for the
restart and Hendrickson used a strong inside rush to scamper by Watt
to become the new leader. On lap 21, Pratt,Jr. worked his way by Watt
to grab second place. As the top three remained in a tight pack,
Hendrickson, who was developing a push in the corners, nearly lost the
lead to Pratt, Jr. with two laps to go. When the checkered flag was
waving, Hendrickson had maintained his edge with Pratt, Jr. in second.
Watt wound up in third with Harrell in fourth and Chester in fifth.
The Big Block Modified heat race winners were Bob Sarkisian,
Hendrickson and Jimmy Horton, IV.

Neal Williams survived a last lap restart to capture his second win of
the year in the Crate Modified event. In the 20-lap race, Williams
took over the lead from John Cavallaro on lap 9 following a terrific
side by side battle that lasted for two full laps. Brett Kressley
finished a strong second and Larry Lippincott wound up in third place.
Eric Kormann and Cavallaro completed the top five. Cavallaro and
Kressley were the victors in the Crate Modified heats.

Jeremy Doerr became the third different winner this season in the
Proformance Cuts Outlaw Stock division by leading every tour of the
caution-free 15-lap race. Doerr started in sixth place and quickly
took command of the race as he collected his third career checkered
flag. Pat Conaway was second followed by Ken Watson, Rick Broschard
and Jeff Dirkes.

In the 5-lap Rookie race, Matt Budd led wire-to-wire to score his
seventh victory of the year. Completing the Rookie race behind Budd
was Kyle Newcomb, Troy Burger, Frank Raio, Keith Earhart and Jerry
Weber.
