Monday August 23, 2010 DOLLAR DOG NIGHT SHOWCASES THE TRI-TRACK BIG BLOCK MODIFED SERIES AND
900TH FEATURE AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
BRIDGEPORT, NJ (August 18, 2010) - When the Tri-Track Big Block
Modified Series comes back to Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, August
21, plenty of extra activity will occur on and off the racetrack on
Dollar Dog Night.
On the big 5/8th mile dirt oval, a 30-lap Big Block Modified feature
will mark the 900th main event for the premier division at the
Southern New Jersey Dirt Oval. As part of this milestone event, the
highest finishing Bridgeport Speedway regular will receive an extra
$500 while an additional $400 will be awarded to the next Bridgeport
Speedway regular that crosses the finish line. Wade Hendrickson, Ryan
Watt, Richie Pratt, Jr. Chic Cossaboone, Jimmy Horton, Rick Laubach
and Billy Pauch, Sr. are all expected to be on hand along with a host
of other Big Block Modified drivers for this Tri-Track Big Block
Modified Series event. After seven races, Rick Laubach continues to
lead the standings with 357 points. Second place is held by Ryan Watt
with 280.5 points and Richie Pratt, Jr. sits in third with 276 points.
Wade Hendrickson and Billy Pauch, Sr. round out the top five with 272
and 256 points respectively. The Crate Modifieds and Proformance Cuts
Outlaw Stocks will be in competition as well.
For everyone in attendance, it will be Dollar Dog Night as Dietz &
Watson Hot Dogs can be purchased for $1.00. At intermission, kids will
be invited to participate in the annual Money Scramble to be held on
the frontstretch. Also, plenty of giveaways including a barbecue grill
and a pair of children’s bikes will be doled out.
On Saturday, August 21, the pit gates will open at 4:00 PM, grandstand
gates open at 5:00 PM, and the racing will commence at 7:00 PM.
Grandstand tickets are $23 for adults. Kids 12 and under are admitted
for free.
Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free
parking, giveaways and fan participation games. Billed ‘The Fastest
Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile
dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and
is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania
and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
