Tuesday May 19, 2009 GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY WILL HEAT UP AGAIN ON MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND GEORGETOWN, DE (May 18, 2009) - With summer-like weather ready to
spread into the Mid-Atlantic region, another hot racing program is set
to take place at the Georgetown Speedway on Sunday, May 24th. The
Super Late Models will take center stage on this special Memorial Day
weekend spectacular as they will slug it out in a big 35-lap main
event.
The Big Block Modifieds are on the agenda as well and will compete in
a 25-lap main event. The Crate Modifieds and a Smashmasters Demolition
Derby will round out the program at the Sussex County dirt oval. A
special holiday fireworks program is sure to entertain fans of all
ages.
Pit Gates will swing open at 3:00 PM with the Spectator Gates opening at 4:00 PM. Warm-ups will hit the track at 6:00 PM. General grandstand admission tickets are $20 with children 12 and under admitted for free. Admission to the pit area is $30. Georgetown Speedway is a 1/2 mile dirt oval located on the northbound side of U.S. Route 113, just 35 miles south of Dover, Delaware, a
45-minute drive from Ocean City, Maryland, and easily accessible from
Washington DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
